Registrations used to arrive by e-mail and were retyped into spreadsheets. With hundreds of participants that meant dozens of hours of manual work and mistakes that only surfaced on the day.
We deployed a public registration system with capacity, categories and online payment. The organiser sees occupancy, payment status and printable lists in real time.
The system has been running since 2017 and we have extended it every season since. It handles the rush after registrations open without intervention — we plan for the peak in advance.
